Below is an excerpt of a story I am working on. It's part of ending scene that's still a work in progress.
RESERVED MARK
We're here because you want to know if you should attempt any type of reconciliation with our father. A man that abandoned us 18 years ago and wants to see us before he goes, again. Our whole life, he has been the vein of our relationship with other people whether you want to admit it or not.

MARK
(scuffs)
I'm outta here.

Mark leaves the room only to re-enter again. He stares around confused.

MARK (CONT'D)
This isn't real.

RESERVED MARK
Took you long enough. Of course this isn't real. Nothing that you've experienced in the past 24 hours was. You should really trust your gut more.

MARK
This is all in my head?

RESERVED MARK
(points at their father)
So many paths to choose from, but each once is ruined because of how we feel about that man. Whatever we need to do to get over our hatred for him, we need to do it.

MARK
You mean forgive him.

RESERVED MARK
It's an option. Then, you did also meet the Angry you.

He coyly gestures over to their father.
MARK
(smiles)
It wouldn't be real.

RESERVED MARK
No, it wouldn't, but it can be a path to test. Don't you think its time to let him go. We don't owe him anything.

MARK
He's not important.

RESERVED MARK
Then why is he a reason?

Because creating a world is easier then living in one.
